Two new photos have been released for Marcus Nispel’s Conan adaptation and once again they feature Jason Momoa as the scantily clad title character. He’s topless, he’s angry, and he’s not going to take it anymore! The images were posted on the film’s official Facebook page and have fans in a tizzy over the stars slender yet still muscular physique.

Back in May we brought you some behind the scenes photos of Jason Momoa in costume as Conan the Barbarian and today an official image has appeared online. The film is being produced by the Bulgarian production company Nu Boyana who’ve confirmed that shooting has recently wrapped. The first set photos featuring Jason Momoa as the legendary Conan the Barbarian have surfaced online thanks to the REH Forum via Latino Review. A lot of people have already seen the images and are voicing their like/dislike of the creative license director Marcus Nispel is taking with the character. Just when you thought Rose McGowan’s dreams of starring in a barbaric themed action movie were over, she gets cast in Conan. According to Variety, the actress will round out the crew of Marcus Nispel’s remake of the 1982 film, which currently includes Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang. Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, and Said Taghmaoui.
Nothing against Ron Perlman aka Hellboy, but I was really looking forward to seeing Mickey Rourke in the upcoming Conan remake. According to recent reports the Academy Award nominated actor has been replaced in the film by Perlman who will now take over the role of Corin, the title character’s dad. He’ll also be joined by G.I. Joe alum Said Taghmaoui who played Breaker in the summer blockbuster.
The cast for the remake of Conan continues to grow with the addition of its female lead. Do you remember Scarlett from G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra? What about the green girl from JJ Abrams’ Star Trek? They were both brought to life by an actress named Rachel Nichols and she’s attaching herself to another cult favorite, by joining Marcus Nispel’s latest film.
