In the 1990′s, action movies evolved. The plots hit closer to home and heroes had Average Joe appeal. This is also the decade that turned former pretty boys into action royalty (we’re looking at you Antonio Banderas and Keanu Reeves). While Sylvester Stallone has been working hard writing and directing blockbuster action films like The Expendables and gearing up for the fifth installment of the Rambo franchise, Stallone isn’t ready to take a break from the action world anytime soon. Stallone is already thinking toward the future; and while a movie based on Edgar Allan Poe’s life isn’t news, recently Stallone expressed interest in remaking the 1970s action-crime-drama film Death Wish.

According to /Film, there were rumors spinning around about whether or not Steven Spielberg and actress Drew Barrymore were teaming up for an E.T.: The Extraterrestrial II. A statement that even looks ridiculous when I type it. Last month the director guest edited the 20th anniversary edition of Empire Magazine, and answered letters sent in by various celebrities. One of them had a question from actress Eva Mendes who wondered if an E.T. sequel was happening, and if it was she “would fight Drew Barrymore for a part in it!”
