with Harry Potter’s conclusion out of the way, is there another film more highly anticipated than The Dark Knight Rises? Even Peter Jackson‘s Hobbit films don’t have the same heat on them. The Dark Knight Rises is due July 20112, and perhaps with Comic-con drawing close, we finally have a teaser for what appears to be Christopher Nolan‘s last Batman movie. But it’s just a tease. With Comic-Con around the corner, what presence some of the heavy-hitting comic book titles will have is unknown. Marvel has supposedly stepped out of the way, but there are rumors that The Avengers might show up. And though Legendary Pictures has a panel, Christopher Nolan‘s feverishly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises may have little presence. With much of the major cast announced (though not necessarily who they’ll be playing), The Dark Knight Rises is to begin production this summer and the location chosen for shooting is Pittsburgh. Earlier there was word it might shoot in Louisiana or in Eastern Europe, but it looks like the bulk of the photography will be happening stateside according to The Pittsburgh Post Gazette .

There are few films that create as much excitement as Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight was a phenomenon, and is currently the third highest grossing film of all time, so why not be hyped that Nolan’s ready to finish his trilogy? Gary Oldman says the story is great, Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy are confirmed to be in the film and now Variety informs us that it’s a lock that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will reunite with his Inception director.
