In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, they have a few exclusive updates regarding the film from the director himself, Chris Weitz. Over at the LATimes, they’ve posted several behind the scenes photos from the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. They include the film’s major stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Taylor Lautner’s abs. There are a lot of green screen shots in this film, which you’ll see from the photos, and a lot of shirtless Jacob. My favorite image is of Pattinson getting his makeup done, which includes the application of a nice rosey lip color. My suspicions have been confirmed!

- Unrealitymag, came up with something really amusing. What if you take a movie character and replace that character with another movie character from the same actor? When I first read this news I almost screamed, because the Twilight sequel New Moon popped into my head. Then I realized I was reading about Paul Weitz, not his younger brother Chris Weitz. According to Variety, Paul is now the front runner to direct the third installment in the Meet the Parents franchise entitled Little Fockers. This is a complete 180 from the news we heard last month when it seemed like Peter Segal had this gig wrapped up. What happened?

“Twilight” had fans lining up the night of its release around the country, and just like with any popular release, Summit Entertainment has jumped on the movie and is planning a sequel, titled “New Moon” due out on November 20th, 2009. Some details about the release have come out over at Entertainment Weekly’s Hollywood Insider, stating that any director that has taken the role (rumored to be Chris Weitz), replacing Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, had to be in Vancouver this week to start 12 weeks of preproduction.
Reports have speculated that Hardwicke was fired for being difficult on set, but sources close to her suggest Summit’s aggressive production schedule turned her off. “She’d love to do the sequel if she could do it better than Twilight,” says one. “It became clear that Summit didn’t have those same priorities.”
