Marvel Studios are on a roll, having already cast not one, but three different villains for Iron Man 3 – and now they’ve announced Casino Royale baddie Mads Mikkelsen will be playing an as-yet unknown villain in Thor 2. Watch out everybody, Orlando Bloom is about to go epic… again. In his latest project he won’t play an elf, a swashbuckler, or a medieval warrior, just an average Joe who wants to go where no man has ever gone before! You walk out of the theater, thinking it was good, but that the trailer was far more enjoyable. This is one of the first films that follows through on it’s promise. You walk out of the theater knowing you just saw something awesome. There may be some problems, but you really don’t care because it was just so much fun to watch.

More dependable than your 401k, this coming Friday, James Bond returns for his 23rd adventure in “Quantum of Solace”. It’s been well reviewed so far with a positive tomatometer, should lead the box office this weekend and has already broken box office records in the UK. Initially most were skeptical that Daniel Craig would prove a fitting heir to the Bond throne, but the popularity and boffo revenues from “Casino Royale” has put that skepticism to rest. However, how does Craig’s reboot of the venerable series compare to the others on an economic basis? Or to put it another way, which Bond gives more bang for the buck?
