Gus van Sant is in negotiations to develop and direct Restless, an original screenplay by first-time screenwriter Jason Lew that will be produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard (THR).
It does seem like a rather “friendly” film, with the two Howards involved, and is only furthered when you realize that the screenwriter, Lew, went to college with Bryce Howard and the two acted in plays together.

Yesterday we reported on the replacement of Twilight actress Rachelle Lefevre with Terminator Salvation star Bryce Dallas Howard in the saga’s upcoming installment. According to reports there was a serious “scheduling” conflict that would make it impossible for Lefevre to reprise her role in the second sequel Eclipse. From that point the actress was recast, and we thought everything was fine. Unfortunately, Lefevre has released several statements clarifying her abrupt departure from the franchise and Summit Entertainment.

Throw this in the bin with all the other random casting news. Bryce Dallas Howard (an actress I actually respect) has joined The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. According to Variety the actress will come on board to replace an already established character. She will play Victoria, who was originally portrayed by Rachelle Lefevre. It turns out that there was a scheduling conflict for Lefevre that interfered with another project she was working on, hence she was forced to leave.

I always liked actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Even though she’s the daughter of Oscar winning director Ron Howard, she’s definitely talented in her own right. Because of this it should come as no surprise that the actress has recently finished working on her first feature screenplay. Not only is it complete, but it’s been sold to her father’s production company, Imagine.
