As a comic book fan I don’t know how I feel about the latest development in the realm of adaptations. According to FirstShowing, we’re going to see a live action version of the comic Freedom Formula: Ghost of the Wasteland. Up and coming screenwriter Michael Finch will pen the screenplay with the potential for Bryan Singer to direct. Freedom Formula is printed by Radical Publishing who teamed up with Singer at last years Comic Con.

Universal Pictures wants to send you to hell, and they’ve found just the person to help them do it! For a while now there has been talk about a Dante’s Inferno feature film to be based off of the upcoming video game of the same name. It was a shaky development at first, but according to Variety it just got a huge jolt of stability. Universal has hired writer Dan Harris to pen the script for the adaptation’s screenplay based on the Electronic Arts video game.

During a recent interview with UGO Movie Blog, about his upcoming WWII thriller Valkyrie, Bryan Singer shed some light on his involvement, or lack there of in, Superman: The Man of Steel. It sounds like Singer has got himself caught between a rock and a hard place, he’s not a part of the film and yet he is attached via his 2006 film deal with the studio.
That is to say although he is not “officially involved in the talks,” Singer is “not divorced” from it either – aka Bryan won’t be directly involved but will be paid regardless thanks to the expensive “Pay or Play” deal he inked with the studio back in October ‘06.
