Lord of the Rings fans, here’s another detail to send you into a frenzy until The Hobbit prequels are officially released—Flight of the Chonchords’ Bret McKenzie has been cast in the upcoming Peter Jackson-helmed film.

And, despite having an awesome head of tangled hobbit hair, the comic actor will be playing an elf (and yes, I know he was briefly an elf in Fellowship of the Ring).
