Just when we thought the Ouija board movie was a figment of our imaginations, we get hit with a status update. According to THR, the adaptation is still happening and Universal is narrowing down the candidates of possible directors. Eisner recently spoke to Coming Soon, about the project and gave a status update on the script and discussed the changes being made to make the story relevant for today’s society.

This weekend prepare yourself for the return of The Crazies. The original film was directed by George A. Romero and debuted in theaters in 1973. Over 30 years later, Breck Eisner is attempting to bring the tale to a new generation of fans with the help of Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, and Danielle Panabaker. Do you remember Flash Gordon? The campy 80′s action flick about a football player turned intergalactic superhero? I wasn’t a fan, but the film developed a cult following for years to come. In true Hollywood fashion that film has been tapped to be remade for the 21st century with director Breck Eisner behind the camera. Eisner recently opened up about his vision for the space classic, and it doesn’t sound like it will be as fantastical as he original.
