Remember all the sequel talk that sprung up last year after the ridiculous success of the Platinum Dunes reboot of Friday the 13th? Warner Bros originally announced back in October that they had plans to produce a follow up simply entitled, Part 2 that would pick up directly where the first one left off. Now six months later Brad Fuller, one of the film’s producers is saying that the movie is a no-go. Who should we believe?

This year we’ll see the release of Platinum Dunes and Samuel Bayer‘s take on A Nightmare on Elm Street. Unlike a lot of remakes, especially from the horror genre, this movie doesn’t bother me as much as the rest. From the little that we’ve seen the film will take a cue from the original 1984 version, which was a genuine horror masterpiece. A video has been released that features the creative forces behind the movie discussing their take on the Freddy tale.
