Reshoots are usually buzzed about because it’s often a sign that a film isn’t working, but director Bill Condon has gone out of his way to assure Twilight fans that the recently announced reshoots for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part II are just par for the course. Though The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 doesn’t feature the wrap up of the series, it does get to something the series has been building to since day one: Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) finally putting their desires to bed. And for the couple it is literally a bed-breaking event, one that leads to pregnancy. As a film Breaking Dawn Part 1 classes up the joint by adding Oscar winning writer-director Bill Condon to the mix, but for those hoping for something that might rise above the material, they’re going to be sorely disappointed. For the fans, it’s likely everything they want.

Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Bill Condon will be bringing us all the teenage angst we can handle for the fourth book/film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Condon said about his upcoming project….

What do the words “Oscar winner,” “acclaimed,” and “talented” have in common? A few weeks ago when a shortlist of directors was released to the public he along with Sofia Coppola, Gus Van Sant, and Mark Waters were said to be in the running. Now we’re hearing that Condon is in the lead and close to making a deal, but why?
Summit Entertainment has established themselves as a commercially viable studio thanks to their wildly popular Twilight franchise. The vampire-werewolf series is starting to come to a close with the last few films upon us and Summit has already started reaching out to several name directors to helm the final two installments, Breaking Dawn Part I and Part II.
This is the best casting news I’ve heard in a very long time. Earlier this year, there were rumors that Eddie Murphy had been cast as the groundbreaking comedian/actor Richard Pryor in a developing biopic. Sure, Murphy is one of the many comedians who took after Pryor’s edgy style and benefited from his trailblazing routines, but I wasn’t a fan of his casting. That’s why the news of his replacement has come as a welcomed surprise. According to Hitflix, Murphy’s out and Marlon Wayans is in as the star of the film.
Eddie Murphy and the late Richard Pryor had a lot in common, most notably their style of comedy. Both were influenced by the great Redd Foxx and in turn touched an entire generation of comedians after them which includes Chris Rock, George Lopez, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle,Lewis Black, and Mike Epps. It’s no wonder that Bill Condon has Murphy as his first choice to star as the groundbreaking comedian in his upcoming biopic. According to EW, Condon is shopping his script Richard Pryor: Is it Something I Said to studios and Murphy is attached to star.
