Benicio del Toro Reviews, Interviews & More
Paul Thomas Anderson has made a great number of movies that in short are magnificent. He's one of the best modern day filmmakers we have out there and the casting for his latest picture Inherent Vice should get many fans of his work excited.
We may recognize Owen Wilson as that pouty lipped lead guy in a number of comedies, but he can hold his own when it pertains to the more dramatic roles. It appears that Wilson will be going the more dramatic route again with his next possible role in the new Paul Thomas Anderson flick Inherent Vice.
Andrew Garfield, best known to audiences for his turns in The Social Network and The Amazing Spider-Man, has just signed up to join Martin Scorsese's next movie, while Oscar winner Benicio del Toro has agreed to join Paul Thomas Anderson's 'Inherent Vice,' which starts shooting soon.
Brave is hitting DVD and Blu-ray the week, which is probably the biggest title of the new releases, as are two of the summer’s misfires, but the biggest title is Lawrence of Arabia, and it’s fair to say they don’t get much bigger.
What is a movie without villains? We're referring to the characters Benicio Del Toro and Demián Bichir play in the dark drama Savages. This isn't exactly a departure from what the actors have previously tackled in their careers. Some could argue that they're just playing stereotypes, but they beg to differ.
Oliver Stone's Savages feels like a comeback. Maybe it is, in that it's a comeback into mainstream cinema. His last film was a sequel to Wall Street, and that film has already been lost to time. This is a big crime-filled ensemble drama/action movie, and it looks like a winner (mostly). The film is due out July 6, and features Benicio Del...
Get ready to start yelling “KKKHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!” all over again, Star Trek fans—looks like Benicio Del Toro is the only guy in the running to play the villain in the upcoming sequel to the Star Trek reboot… and fans are already speculating he’ll play Khan, the villain from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan....
Who's going to play the legendary Poncho Villa? Johnny Depp was attached to star in the feature The Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers, but according to Blic Online, he's dropped out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. With the role vacant, a couple other actors have surfaced as possible replacements: Oscar winner Benicio del Toro and...
Everyone seems to have a sick obsession with professional hitmen these days. But not just any kind of hitmen, hitmen who work specifically for the mob (not free agents). Case in point, it was just announced that Michael Shannon will play the lead role in a drama called The Iceman, which is based on the actual life of a mob contract-killer named Richard Kuklinski....
Oscar winner Benicio del Toro will appear on the big screen starting tomorrow in his latest flick, The Wolfman. It's directed by Joe Johnston and is a remake of the classic 1941 original from Universal. The film sticks with the same story of a nobleman who's bitten by a beast, which causes him to inadvertently become one himself. Del Toro had to channel a ton of...
The Wolfman is a remake of the popular horror classic that was produced by Universal over 60 years ago. Instead of capitalizing on a more contemporary adaptation of the character the studio decided to stick with the old plot and feel of the original. This includes the overseas location and time period, accompanied by plenty of blood and gore. This film could have been...
This morning we've gotten our hands on the latest trailer for Joe Johnston's horror film, The Wolfman. Be warned, it's intended for French audiences (hence the subtitles) but have no fear, the entire trailer is in English. On top of that, there are a few scenes that include footage we haven't seen from the previous videos.
Check out The Wolfman...
Earlier today we brought you the lovely Emily Blunt in a teaser poster for the upcoming Universal feature, The Wolf Man, now we've got another one courtesy of AICN. This time we stare into the eye of the beast himself, (Benicio del Toro) and it's not pretty. If you think he looks hairy here, take a look at the rest of it.

Oh Wolf Man, what will your fate be? At the moment it seems to be undetermined. People don't know whether to love you or loath you. I guess that's why Universal decided it's time for a new, action-packed, sexy, trailer for Joe Johnston's upcoming action thriller The Wolf Man starring Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, and Art Malik. They've...

Even though its release date has been pushed back several times, the updated Wolf Man film continues to put out promotional material. Over at Bloody Disgusting, a few new photos have been released and they feature stars Benicio del Toro and Emily Blunt in action. They mostly show del Toro in his "man state" as opposed to his werewolf...
Is the modern day remake of the Wolf Man horror classic cursed? How much can this poor film take? According to several media outlets including Variety, the film has been pushed back for not the second, not the third, but the fourth time! It won't be released this year at all, and has been bumped to 2010 instead. Universal Pictures have shifted it's release from later...
There have been rumors/news of re-shoots on the set of Joe Johnston's The Wolfman for some time now, but nobody knew what or why they were re-shooting. A total of six weeks to be exact. According to Baz Bamigboye, the "Wolfman" was not quite up to par, as “the Wolf was on its heels and it looked daft.” They are reshooting the scenes with the newly...
Actor Benicio Del Toro must have taken more than a paycheck away from his portrayal of Latin activist Che Guevara. He's taking the motivational spirit from his role in Che (above), and has applied it to his life (without all the violence). According to the Associated Press the actor recently cut his vacation short to visit the Bayamon Regional Prison...
There have been more rumors about this film than about Bigfoot. It seems like almost every A-list actor has been considered for the part. A while ago it was rumored that Sean Penn and Johnny Depp would be signing up for Larry and Moe in The Three Stooges update. Apparently, half of that rumor is true. The studio has just signed on...
