Academy Award winning actress Angelina Jolie is currently on location shooting The Tourist, but she’s still making deals for other films while on the job. According to Reuters, the actress is in discussions with acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky to take on a feature adaptation of the period piece, Serena: The Novel.
Angelina Jolie has been a busy bee lately and she’s showing no signs of slowing down. At the moment she’s in Europe filming The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp, and after that her next project is Wanted 2, oh wait, no it isn’t. The actress just killed any sequel dreams fans may have had regarding her return for another film because according to Vulture she’s taking on Gravity instead.
This weekend when we attended the Alice in Wonderland press conference Johnny Depp confirmed that his next film, The Tourist would start filming Tuesday of this week. Guess what? It’s Tuesday, and magically some photos of his co-star Angelina Jolie have popped up from the set of the film. See her in character below…
Immediately the music front dove in to help the estimated 3 million people who are in need in Haiti and Hollywood soon followed in the action. Wyclef Jean, who is known for being part of the Fugees, is also a native of Haiti himself and was one of the first musicians to tweet about his concern for the country’s state of disaster and help set up the Haiti Earthquake Fund for people to easily give $5 to (details below). It’s no big surprise that humanitarian couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt joined Wyclef and others in their efforts to raise money, the couple gave $1 million dollars towards Doctors Without Border.
Pitt said in a recent statement:
A couple of weeks ago we finally got to see Angelina Jolie in her latest action flick Salt, when a teaser trailer popped up online. Now, thanks to the folks over a Joblo, the movie’s first poster has been revealed and it’s kind of scary. It begs the question, “Who is Salt,” and none of us know, so we’ll have to go watch the movie to find out.

We finally have our first live action look at Angelina Jolie in the upcoming spy thriller, Salt. Her character is being described as Jason Bourne in a skirt, which I’m not sure is a compliment or a sexist remark but either way it means she’s a bad ass. A high quality Russian trailer has popped up online for the film, and we get to Jolie in all her action glory.

He’s done it all, and according to several reports his next project may delve into the world of fashion. EW is reporting that Scott is looking to direct a biopic centering on Italian businessman Maurizio Gucci and his wife Patrizia. It will be aptly titled Gucci, and you won’t believe who the director has in mind to play the main characters.
One Oscar winner has been swapped out for another, according Reuters. Charlize Theron was set to star opposite Sam Worthington in the action thriller, The Tourist but that is no longer the case. The actress has unexpectedly dropped out of the film, and sources are claiming that Angelina Jolie will step in as her replacement.
Actor Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie have a home in the the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The pair have done their fair share of charitable work by making donations to various organizations to help rebuild the city after it’s damaging encounter with Hurricane Katrina. According to MSNBC, some New Orleans residents are showing their appreciation to Mr. Pitt by campaigning for the actor to run for mayor in 2010. They even have T-shirts that say, “Brad Pitt for Mayor.” Is this obsession, insanity, or a crazy idea that might actually work?
