Alright! It’s 2012, which means this could be the last Sundance Film Festival ever, so we’d better make the most of it! With over 100 feature narrative & documentary films being screened, as well as short film programs, panel discussions, art installations, music performances, and industry parties, it’s next to impossible to decide how to spend our time here! However, I’ve managed to whittle down the top 5 films I’m absolutely determined to see, so whatever happens beyond that will be pure gravy. Well this is one for the books: Saturday Night Live, get this, actually had a few funny moments on Saturday, thanks mostly to Helen Mirren and her, erm, physical attributes. As noted by Entertainment Weekly, “Mirren is known to be justly proud of her upper balcony,” and she let it show on this week’s Digital Short.

The ghost of “Saturday Night Live” past will join forces with the present when Adam Sandler co-stars opposite Andy Samberg. Sandler appeared in the sketch comedy series in the mid-nineties and Samberg is currently a regular on the show. According to THR, the duo is set to appear in a movie together where they’ll play — wait for it…father and son. Dun! Dun! Dun!

Even though the Farrelly Brothers’ big screen version of The Three Stooges seems to have fallen apart, the directing duo won’t give up. Their original line up of Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, and Benicio del Toro can and will be replaced. According to a report from The Wrap, they’ve already started gathering a shortlist of potentials including Johnny Knoxville and “Saturday Night Live” star Andy Samberg.

It’s an R-rated star vehicle for the actress that will also feature Captain America himself Chris Evans. According to EW, SNL’s Andy Samberg and Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto are both potential love interests set to appear opposite Faris in the film.
