Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy has to be one of my favorite movies. The 2004 Judd Apatow produced film featured Will Ferrell as the title character, based in 1970’s San Diego. Ever since the infamous “alley fight,” fans have wanted to see more from Ron, Brian, Champ, and Brick. Over at Empire they spoke to Apatow himself about the prospect of bringing the news team together for one more broadcast.

The Germans discovered it in 1904, and they called it ‘San Diego’, which in German means ‘whale’s vagina’.
Here’s a sequel I’d love to see, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. There are so many quotable lines and ridiculous scenarios that stick out from that movie. The 2004 cult classic starred Will Ferrell as Burgundy, a sexist, self-centered, and not too bright news anchor who leads the number one news team in the San Francisco Bay area. For years there have been rumblings of a possible sequel, but now according to some of its stars, things are beginning to look a lot more serious.

I don’t pay attention to major fashion magazines. I’m more into film trades or a good novel from time to time. Yet, every once in a while there’s that “special edition” or “collector’s issue” that comes out and gets me every time. This year my guilty pleasure is the latest issue of Vanity Fair. The above photo is just one of the many satirical images that feature some of today’s most popular funny men and women. The magazine highlights who they consider to be the new comedy legends of this generation. Some of their picks include actors who’ve just made their mark in recent years, while others have been around for ages.
