This week several new photos from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland have been released and they feature The White Queen, Bayard, Bandersnatch, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. The film hits theaters on March 5th and until that fateful day, every week Disney will release new promotional materials to tide you over.
The official video has been released for Avril Lavigne’s lead track off the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack, Almost Alice. The song is entitled “Alice (Underground),” and was written by Lavigne and produced by Butch Walker. The music video is filled with clips from the film, and features Lavigne playing a punk version of the title character.
There’s no such thing as too much Johnny Depp, so we welcome this latest piece of promotion from his upcoming film, Alice in Wonderland. Every Wednesday until the week of its release, Disney will debut new behind the scenes footage and interviews from the Tim Burton adaptation. The latest video is an extended featurette that centers on Depp’s character the Mad Hatter, and be warned it shows new footage from the film that some of you might consider spoiler territory.

Now that it’s February, we can officially say that Tim Burton‘s Alice in Wonderland hits theaters next month. Until then, every week Disney will release new photos and behind the scenes videos that reveal more about the characters and the story. The latest batch includes some photos of the Red Queen, Dormouse, and Caterpillar, plus a new video with Johnny Depp.
A few weeks ago Disney unveiled the tracklist for the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack, which includes every one from All American Rejects to Owl City. The lead single off the album is entitled, “Alice (Underground)” and it’s sung by a young woman who used to be known for her obscure behavior, Avril Lavigne. The generous people over at Disney have released some concept art designs and a short Mad Hatter clip from the Tim Burton adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland. The tracklisting for Alice in Wonderland‘s soundtrack just popped up on MySpace and people on twitter seem to be a bit pissed about what we already knew might be on it. The soundtrack will be titled “Almost Alice” and will be in stores on March 2nd with a video for the soundtrack’s first single, “Alice (Underground)” by Avril Lavigne,” is due in early February.
