hughdancy09 7 31 Hugh Dancy Interview for Adam

This weekend you have the opportunity to see one of the most honest and endearing love stories of the year, Adam, starring Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne. Dancy gives an award-winning performance as the character of Adam, in a story about a man with Asperges who falls in love with the girl next door (Byrne). The film is humorous and intelligent, and not to be missed.

Not long ago we got to sit down with Dancy and talk to him about his amazing performance (Adam review). He is quite possibly one of the most charming and well spoken actors to interview.

Though Adam will probably fly under the radar this summer, overshadowed by the likes of more publicized films such as 500 Days of Summer and Away We Go, this quirky romantic comedy is one that is worth seeking out, with its tackling of a disorder that affects as many as three out of 1,000 people, reports a 2005 study in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry and evolution of Hugh Dancy, whose time in Confessions of a Shopaholic almost completely fades away after his performance as Adam.

funny people 1 New Photos From Funny People and Land of the Lost

The above photo is the first production still from the Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow comedy, Funny People. The movie follows George Simmons (Sandler), a terminally ill, yet highly successful comedian who befriends a young up and comer named Ira (Seth Rogen). Leslie Mann portrays Sandler’s love interest Laura, who happens to be married to Erica Bana’s character, Clarke. What a soap opera. Notice the uncomfortable stares in this shot? Is it just me or is Seth Rogen looking directly at the camera? Funny People hits theaters on July 31.

funnypeople08 11 17 NEWS: Judd Apatows Funny People

Just when we thought Judd Apatow couldn’t top the laughs from The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, here comes his latest project, Funny People.  Apatow writes, directs, and produces the film that stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, and Eric Bana. Yes, Eric Bana is in a Judd Apatow film. For those of you who don’t know, Bana started his career as a comedian in his native Australia, and gained plenty of popularity on the sketch comedy series Full Frontal.

Even though the teaser poster has already been released, Funny People is filming as we speak, which means there’s still room for changes in the script. With that in mind, Apatow released a video on the internet where he is inviting fans to try and win a walk on role in the movie.

More details and the video when you continue reading…
