For Harry Potter fans, the ride is nearly over. The book series started in 1997 and concluded in 2007. The first film was released in 2001, and now ten years later the film franchise is nearly complete. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is due out July 15, 2011, and so it’s exactly four months away from release. The network has announced that they’ve renewed their agreement with the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences to keep the prized ceremony on the network.
