The upcoming comedy Your Highness won’t hit theaters until October, but early reviews have already begun to leak online. It turns out that there was a recent test screening for the film that stars James Franco, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman, and Zooey Deschanel. Viewers took to their various blogs and Twitter accounts to let the world know what they thought of the early cut of the film, and from what I’ve read it sounds like an old school stoner comedy but with horses.

Zooey Deschanel will be following in her big sister’s footsteps by starring in her own TV series. According to Deadline Hollywood, the 500 Days of Summer actress will star in an upcoming HBO series entitled, “I’m With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie,” which will be based on the best selling book of the same name.
For all of you who loved 500 Days of Summer and to encourage those of you who haven’t seen it to get out there and enjoy the film, here comes a lovely little companion piece to the movie. Marc Webb, the director of the film started his career by making music videos and after his first successful film he has decided to play around with his actors Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt, and make a music video for Deschanel’s song “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?” by her band She & Him. Much like the Sid and Nancy skit by the trio, the video adds to the film, without spoiling it or having direct references to it. The video also confirms something that Deschanel told us, which is that Levitt really can do back flips.
Marc Webb’s (read interview) new romantic-offbeat-original-dra-medy, 500 Days of Summer starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Godron-Levitt (read interview) finally hit theaters July 17th. Man, woman, whatever you may be, this is a romantic film for everyone. It is the most honest and yet beautifully over the top film that I have seen all year and should absolutely not be missed.
Four lucky winners will get one 500 Days of Summer poster along with the film’s soundtrack album. The film features music from artists’ such as Regina Spektor, The Smiths, and Black Lips.

Zooey Deschanel has joined the cast of David Gordon Green‘s latest project, Your Highness, which already includes Danny McBride,James Franco,andNatalie Portman. Deschanel to play the role of Belladonna, the bride of James Franco. The story is about an entitled prince (Danny McBride) and his brother (James Franco) who are sent on a mission to save their father’s kingdom from an evil wizard. Natalie Portman plays a warrior princess and the love interest of Danny McBride.
Ready to see Zooey Deschanel as Sid Vicious and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a blonde wig as Nancy? Mean Magazine has created a new series of online short films called CineMash, which allows actors to remake their favorite scenes from classic movies.
First up is the starring couple from Marc Webb’s 500 Days of Summer(opening July 17), Deschanel and Levitt, who decided to remake the classic film Sid and Nancy.

After sold-out screenings in NYC and winning the top prize at AFI Fest Dallas,Giganticis having a special screening at the Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles this Friday, April 17. Star Zooey Deschanel will be in person with co-writer/director Matt Aselton and other special (unnamed) guests for a Q&A after the 7:30 PM screening.
Now this is a trailer. The original500 Days of Summer trailer was beautiful, but it completely lost me due to it’s over-used voice-over, but this trailer shows a lot of potential. The films stars the lovely Zooey Deschanel and the adorable Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in a love story about about the difficulties of falling in love. It’s definitely a refreshing twist on the old romance cliche.
