If you still feel bad about Megan Fox being replaced in Transformers 3 by an inexperienced Victoria’s Secret model don’t be. Fox has a new movie coming out this summer called Jonah Hex and its latest theatrical trailer has been released over at IGN. It’s based on the DC Comics property of the same name and features Josh Brolin in the title role. Check it out…

Well, well, well it sounds like the Arrested Development movie cameras might start rolling sometime soon. One of the film’s co-star’s Will Arnett recently gave a quick update on when the actors are set to reprise their roles for the Bluth centered project. We’ve been hearing for months that the Arrested Development script is for lack of a better word, being “developed” and now a shoot date is in our grasp!

I wrote a short response to John Krasinski’s directorial debut of Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, a few weeks ago and talked about the polarizing effect that this film has on it’s audience – chances are you will either love it or hate it. That being said, I walked out of the theater somewhat confused about what I had just seen, but I was also intrigued, and found that the film stayed with me for weeks to come.
It’s unique style, awareness of the camera, odd humor, long monologues, off-putting views towards rape and dark edges are not for everyone, but it will definitely satisfy a craving for something out of the ordinary…

When I found out about this casting news I wasn’t sure if it was legitimate or an April Fools joke. But the source is one of the most trusted trades in the business and I don’t think they would lie to me. According to THR, Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon and funnyman Will Arnett have signed on to co-star in the comic book adaptation, Jonah Hex. The cast already boasts of Josh Brolin in the title role, John Malkovich, and Megan Fox.

Dreamworks introduces the ultimate animated 3-D creature-feature, with Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon’s Monsters Vs. Aliens – that’s right, the battle that children (and those guilt-ridden, imaginative adults) have fantasized about since Monsters Inc. and Space Jam. When Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) is bulldozed by a gunk-infested meteor on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows 49 feet and eleven inches. While imprisoned in a secret government compound, she meets a congenial squad of monsters: Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), Half-Ape/Half-Fish (Will Arnett), and B.O.B. (Seth Rogen). When an alien robot lands on Earth and begins destroying the country, the military releases the monsters to combat the alien robot and, obviously, save the world!

I don’t pay attention to major fashion magazines. I’m more into film trades or a good novel from time to time. Yet, every once in a while there’s that “special edition” or “collector’s issue” that comes out and gets me every time. This year my guilty pleasure is the latest issue of Vanity Fair. The above photo is just one of the many satirical images that feature some of today’s most popular funny men and women. The magazine highlights who they consider to be the new comedy legends of this generation. Some of their picks include actors who’ve just made their mark in recent years, while others have been around for ages.
More on Vanity Fair and the comedy legends photo spread after the jump.
