Well, Colin Firth has selected his first post-Best Actor Oscar role, and it’s something of a surprise—he will star in Stoker, the first English-language film directed by South Korean director Park Chan-wook (the man beyond the wild brilliance of the Vengeance Trilogy—Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Lady Vengeance). And, because it’s 2011 and all films must now be comprised of at least 23% undead material, it looks like Firth is playing a vampire.

The cast for the upcoming fourth installment of the Resident Evil franchise were caught filming recently in Toronto, Cananda, and we’ve got the first look at the actors on set. The new movie is entitled Afterlife and will have Milla Jovovich reprising her role as Alice, the superhuman heroine of the film series. Last week, we told you that actor Boris Kodjoe had recently joined the cast of the upcoming sequel Resident Evil: Afterlife alongside Milla Jovovich. According to Empire, two more actors have signed on to co-star, and one of them is already familiar with the franchise. Ali Larter will reprise her role from Resident Evil: Extinction, while Prison Break alum Wentworth Miller has also been cast in the film.
