We saw this coming a mile away. The NBC spy drama “Undercovers,” which came from the mind of JJ Abrams has been canceled. The series has been on the receiving end of consistently low ratings and unfortunately it hasn’t been able to find its audience. Today the network announced their plans to pull the plug.
NBC continues to expand on their season orders for Fall 2010 by adding three more shows to their growing roster. First, they picked up the freshman trio of “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” “The Event,” and “Outsourced” to run throughout May, and now they’re giving the same treatment to “Chuck” and “Chase.”
This week’s episode of “Undercovers” entitled “Instructions” takes our unconventional couple to Turks and Caicos — to kick some ass! There’s a kidnapping plot wrapped in an international terrorism scheme for good measure, which makes this episode a lot more enjoyable than the pilot. Check out the review…
JJ Abrams is at it again with his latest television series, “Undercovers.” It centers on two defunct CIA agents who try to live a quiet and normal life in retirement. Too bad, that plan doesn’t stick and they’re pulled back into the field. There’s nothing overtly special about “Undercovers,” besides its fresh cast and blatant “Alias” homages. Now that production on “Lost” has wrapped TV and film producer JJ Abrams can fit another show into his busy schedule. According to THR, his latest project entitled “Undercovers” has been picked up by NBC and is slated to debut this fall. The pilot will mark the first episode that Abrams’ has directed since “Lost’s” 2004 premiere.
