This week, DVD and Blu-ray releases are dominated by Superman as Man of Steel comes to home video. But there’s also some great Criterion and classic releases to sift through. Check it out.
While Comic-Con news may be all around us, people actually went to the movies this weekend. Hard to believe, but true. And what they wanted was the horror movie. They weren't so crazy about the new animated film, or that weird fantasy/comedy film. Either of them. So The Conjuring won and won big.
Though it may be Comic-Con weekend, that doesn't mean there aren't new movies. In fact there's four: Turbo, R.I.P.D., Red 2, and The Conjuring. You might even say it's a weekend for films to be dumped off.
With the recent launch of House of Cards, and the upcoming season of Arrested Development, Netflix has been advancing their game plan of having just as much television as a regular station, or at least a basic cable channel. Their latest acquisition is a spin-off of the movie Turbo, which hasn't even hit theaters yet.
