The upcoming season of “Torchwood” will be filled with American actors. Not only is the network moving from the BBC to Starz, but for the first time ever they’re shooting footage on U.S. soil. The last time we checked two Stateside actors had been cast in the form of Bill Pullman and Mekhi Pfifer, now there’s word that another one has joined the party. A lot of you are awaiting the return of the popular British sci-fi show “Torchwood.” The “Doctor Who” spin-off has moved from its BBC roots over to the Starz cable network where it will experience a few changes. If you’re a fan of “The Doctor Who” spin-off “Torchwood” we’ve got some good news for you. Bill Pullman and Mekhi Phifer will appear on the new season of the show, when it returns on the Starz Network. The news was just announced via Twitter from writer Jane Espenson who revealed that Pullman was the show’s newest cast member.

Back in June, we reported that the popular sci-fi series “Torchwood” would make its return to the small screen in 2011. It was picked up by the Starz cable network from the BBC, who will still co-produce future episodes. According to Zap2it, season 4 of the British series will be infused with some top notch American writing talents. We’re talking people from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “House,” Breaking Bad, “Battlestar Gallactica,” and “The X-Files” — “The X-Files”!!

No, we’re not talking about Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, we’re referring to Jack Harkness from “Torchwood.” He’s the main character on the popular sci-fi series, who travels back in time to spearhead a renegade criminal investigation group that hunts down extraterrestrial and supernatural threats.
