That’s the set up from the Men in Black 3 teaser trailer, one that seems to be there to refresh viewers on the world of the Men in Black. Despite the cavalcade of production snafus that have befallen the wildly unnecessary Men In Black III—really, do we need another one?—from Alec Baldwin bailing on the production to massive filming delays to the growing sense that the entire production is simply an outgrowth of Will Smith’s increasingly egomaniacal self love, it looks like Men in Black III is still happening. And now details about the aliens featured in the film have begun to slip.

This summer has brought an onslaught of comic-book movies, but the tide has turned against them. From Thor to X-Men: First Class to The Green Lantern, none of these super-expensive movies have managed to crack $200 Million at the box office, the number Superman Returns made (and that was considered a failure). Partly it’s the films, partly it’s the characters – many of whom aren’t as well known as Batman and Superman. Enter Captain America: The First Avenger. Paramount and Marvel studio’s Captain America: The First Avenger is one the big titles of the summer, and the Joe Johnston-directed, Chris Evans-starring film opens July 22, will be the last of summer’s four big superhero films. The trailer is mostly the set-up: Skinny Steve Rogers becomes a superhero through the tutelage of Tommy Lee Jones‘s Col. Earlier this year we learned that Sony would be producing another sequel in their popular Men in Black series. It was revealed that the original cast and crew would return including Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and director Barry Sonnenfeld but in most sequels they always have to infuse new blood. In this case that would be Josh Brolin, an actor who many fans worried would be taking Jones’ place.

At some point in Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers might be running for his life in a water tunnel and have to shout to the top of his lungs, “I didn’t kill my wife,” and at that point Tommy Lee Jones will shake his head and say, “I don’t care.” OK, maybe that’s not exactly how it will play out but it has been confirmed by Captain America star, Hayley Atwell that the Oscar winning actor has joined the cast of the comic adaptation.
