According to THR, the movie is still happening and they’ve officially set a timeline for when it will hit theaters. The last time we saw the character on the big screen was in 2003 with the sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, where of course Angelina Jolie played the title character.

This is laziness, sheer laziness! According to THR, Warner Brothers Studios is in the process of rebooting the Tomb Raider movie franchise. The first two films were produced and distributed through Paramount and starred Angelina Jolie as the lead. Producer Dan Lin is in early development talks to get the revamp off the ground, but this time with the WB behind it. Lin is already one of the producing forces behind the Guy Ritchie film, Sherlock Holmes, and the upcoming Johnny Quest.
