Yesterday was Easter, the sun was shining, families were dressed up and out having fun together, and everything was downright pleasant…but not for this writer. I spent that morning watching a film about the death of a child, and the ripple of the tragedy through a small, Montana town. I guess I’m just a masochist. Or an atheist. Warner Bros has just released a new batch of photos from this month’s A Nightmare on Elm Street. We’ve got 12 high quality images taken directly from the film that feature all the main characters including Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger. We also get our first look at the parents in the cast played by Clancy Brown and “Friday Night Lights” co-star Connie Britton.

Fresh off the heels of the second (final) season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Thomas Dekker TV’s version of John Connor may have found another project to occupy his time. According to Shocktillyodrop, Dekker is nearing a deal to star in the Samuel Bayer helmed A Nightmare on Elm Street . He will play opposite Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley , who is set to star as the famed child killer Freddy Krueger a role that was originated by Robert Englund.
