Well, it’s almost time for the second half of AMC’s The Walking Dead to rise from its mid-season hiatus, stumbling forth from the earth in desperate hungry need of brains, brains, brains. And, just to make sure you remember it’s returning to the airwaves on February 12, AMC has crafted a quick little trailer for the second half of season two in order to whet your appetite.
And, in an apparent response to much of season two’s interminable mediocrity in which characters ceased to be real people of depth and simply devolved in plot devices, AMC’s trailer displays a newfound depth and intellige… oh, I’m just kidding. It’s basically everybody in the cast shooting a bunch of guns and crashing cars and yelling.

Season Two of The Walking Dead aired its mid-season finale this week, bringing to a close the first half of its sophomore season (with the second half of Season Two set to begin dropping new episodes in February 2012). Despite a very rocky first half of the season, The Walking Dead aimed to finish hard and strong last night, and it did so with more energy, wit and scares than the rest of the season’s episodes had combined.
