A couple of major star vehicles hitting DVD this week, and two that you probably don’t remember. Seriously, close your eyes and try to envision what movie How Do You Know? was. Got it yet? No? Yeah, didn’t think so – it was the rom-com featuring Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd. Okay, you still don’t know what it is, just trust me, it exists and you can get it on DVD this week.

It’s joined by the controversial Golden Globe choice The Tourist and perhaps the biggest star of them all, as Yogi Bear makes his DVD debut. All that, plus you can now follow me around on Twitter @paynehumor and get all my snark 140 characters at a time.

Little Fockers 24 6 10 kc Weekend Box Office: Little Fockers Top Charts, Tron Legacy Goes Down

Many thought Little Fockers (movie review) would be a huge mistake, and that it may have been for the critics but not the piggy bank. The third movie in the Meet the Parents franchise brought in over $34 million this Christmas weekend. The Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro movie was followed by the new Coen’s western True Grit (movie review). Unfortunately Tron Legacy wasn’t intriguing enough to keep up it’s number one spot even before it made back half its money, people must be a bit disappointed.

the tourist couple 12 7 10 VOTD: Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie in The Tourist Bloopers

Like many of you, we were shocked when this year’s Golden Globe nominees were announced. The Best Musical or Comedy category has been under a lot of scrutiny because of the inclusion of Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, and their film The Tourist. Who knew that the movie was funny or full of great songs? Apparently, it was filled with laughs, but unfortunately most of them were caught off camera and came at the expense of co-star Paul Bettany. Take a look…

chronicles of narnia la 12 13 10 Weekend Box Office: Narnia Tops Charts, But Doesnt Make Much

It seems like people decided to skip the movie theaters this weekend. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader (movie review) topped the charts with a modest $24.5 million. The third installment in the Fantasy franchise was made on a $140 million budget, but at this rate, it’ll be a long time before the distributors (Fox) see any profit. The Tourist (movie review), which stars the mega-duo Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, was No. 2, taking the spot of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part I (movie review). Hopefully, with the Holiday break coming this week, people will hit the theaters.

the tourist train la 12 7 10 The Tourist: Movie Review

It’s time for some pretty people blowing up pretty places in The Tourist! Luckily for us, the film is actually a bit better than the average run of the mill sexy, action adventure and is entertaining enough to keep you interested the whole way through despite it not being in any way, shape, or form original or surprising. But it is fun and easy for the whole family to go and see if you’re too afraid to see one of the best films of the year also coming out this weekend, The Fighter. But hey, some people like photo shoots with acting…

johnny depp12 6 10 Johnny Depp: Interview Clip for The Tourist

This week in theaters, the sexy-Italian espionage film The Tourist, based off the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer hits theaters with the ultimate A-list duo Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. What more do you need to get you into theaters other than Depp in a number of great suits, smoking cigarettes and looking cool all around Venice? Yes, plot helps but at least we know he’s got the acting chops to make just about anything interesting to watch. Sony sent us over some clips about him talking about making the film, working with Oscar winning writer/director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (watch interview) and why him and Jolie weren’t even allowed to talk on set without getting a ridiculous headline. It’s hard being amazing…

donnersmarck12 6 10 Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck: Interview Clip for The Tourist

German writer/director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck stole away The Tourist from Bharat Nalluri and brought with him the ultimate A-list female lead and hopefully a fun espionage film that lives his up to his previous work. The film is by far the sexiest, action film of the year, set in Venice, Italy, in gorgeous mansions with heartthrobs, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp — sex and violence anyone? Donnersmarck is best known for his Oscar winning 2006 film The Lives of Others, but has stepped out of his comfort zone to try a huge-Hollywood remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer. Will it be worth it?

Sony sent over some clips from interviews done with the cast and the director. Find out what attracted him to the role and more below…
