After last weekends upset at the box office, Limitless will see competition from Zach Synder’s Sucker Punch and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick rules, while holdovers Paul, and The Lincoln Lawyer attempt to stay in the top five. In all, it should be a fun weekend at the box office. And now for our predictions….
Yes, $19 million is a modest amount when we’re speaking Box Office terms, but this weekend $19 million was enough to make Bradley Cooper‘s Limitless No. 1. The Hangover star beat out Matthew McConaughey‘s The Lincoln Lawyer and Battle: Los Angeles (the war film didn’t do as well as we had predicted).
Also new this weekend was Universal’s Paul, which stars plenty of hilarious people like Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen, Jason Bateman, and Kristen Wiig (the list goes on). Despite falling at No. 5, the sci-fi comedy was neck and neck all weekend long with The Lincoln Lawyer and just barely lost out by a couple of thousand.

The Lincoln Lawyer just got a little more exciting with its new high-action trailer. It has more twists, more action, more subplots, lots of good actors — looks like it’s time for another good crime-drama-thriller (it’s a new name for an old category). Though these types of films have been done to death, there’s nothing like a good thriller to revitalize the genre and keep you on the edge of your seat. The first trailer featured a serious McConaughey which seriously worried me, but this trailer boosts an impressive supporting cast with what looks like some heavy drama and high tension.
