And now, RiverRun International Film Festival has released a video interview with the actor who reveals his thoughts on Zod, the Christopher Reeve superman films, Snyder’s reboot storyline, and more. Also, he’s kind of odd.

Well, the Superman news just keeps on coming—just yesterday, director Zach Snyder was revealing that his version of Superman, The Man of Steel, won’t adhere to Richard Donner’s original cinematic mythos of the character, and now The Hollywood Reporter has it that Kevin Costner has “closed a deal to join the cast of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ new Superman movie.”
Ok, comic geeks, get ready—those of you who found Bryan Singer’s take on the Superman franchise, Superman Returns, a little too tepid or slavishly bound to Richard Donner’s excellent original film, rejoice—as director of the upcoming Supes reboot, Zack Snyder, says he won’t be bound to the original films’ mythology at all.
Warner Bros continues to make move forward with their upcoming reboot Superman: Man of Steel. After casting the title role, they along with director Zack Snyder have turned to his “earth family.” The studio released an official announcement stating their next casting: Martha Kent. Clark’s maternal figure will be played by Academy Award nominated actress Diane Lane!
