This just gets better and better.
Last week, we reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that he would be starring in a new animated series/ Stan Lee comic book entitled The Governator, which “will mix the real life of the actor/politician with the superhuman exploits of the characters he’s played in films” as Ahnuld battles “the evil organization Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E. Men).” Seriously.
And now, the big guy has announced The Governator will be a feature film.

Oh boy.
As we previously reported, Arnold Schwarzenegger promised to announce his show business plans in the near future, and today, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he made good on that promise (I think)—The Governator, an animated TV series and Stan Lee comic book that “will mix the real life of the actor/politician with the superhuman exploits of the characters he’s played in films.” And, either this is a so-so April Fool’s day joke, or, quite simply, the most amazing thing to ever happen in the entertainment world, ever.

Stan Lee has gone Marvel mad with the recent tweets coming from his Twitter page today. The comic book legend dropped a bunch of hints regarding the upcoming roster of Marvel releases including, Ant-Man. He claims that he recently met up with director Edgar Wright to discuss the property, and they hit it off. He also dished on a few second string characters that the studio plans on bringing to the big screen.

He already showed up in last year’s Iron Man, so his next appearance will be in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Quite possibly the three most talked about (and over-rated) films and TV shows of the year, New Moon, “True Blood,” and “Battlestar Galactica” will be taking over the 2009 Scream Awards! Vampires seem to be ruling everything these days, so why not dedicate an event to them!
SCREAM will celebrate the year of the vampire craze with the cast of New Moon introducing yet ANOTHER world premiere of more, never-been-seen-before footage from the film. Although they have not given the names of which cast members will be present, I’m sure we can expect to see the usual trio of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

During Comic-Con 2009, Guinness World Records honored the biggest names in Entertainment history in the fields of television, film and comic books. One of the biggest winners was the iconic hit animated series, The Simpsons. Matt Groening and Al Jean, who were at the event on behalf of the show, were presented with two amazing achievements — Longest Running Sitcom and Longest Running Animated TV Series.
There were also some other comic books that were recognized including:
- Detective Comics, the publication that introduced Batman to the world was recognized for being the Longest Continuously Published Comic Book.
- The legendary Stan Lee and comic book visionary, Todd McFarlane, accepted the record for Best-selling Comic (single edition) for Spider-Man.
- Stan Lee also accepted a solo award based on his comic-book creations having been adapted by Hollywood a record 12 times, from Spider-Man (May 2002) to The Incredible Hulk (June 2008).

The Comic-Con news never ends. Stan Lee is a legend in the comic genre and he will be attending this year’s convention to promote his latest creation, Time Jumper. According to Yahoo News, Lee describes it as a “digital comic book-style thriller.” Time Jumper debuts Thursday, July 23rd, at a panel hosted by the creator. The latest news surrounding the project has to do with the casting of actress Natasha Henstridge as the voice of it’s main villain.
