Reunited and it feels so good! Neill Blomkamp will once again team up with his District 9 star Sharlto Copley for his latest film, Elysium. According to an exclusive report from Deadline, like District 9, Elysium will be another sci-fi film that has outer worldly elements and a political undertone. In other words, they’re sticking with a formula that works. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Alec Baldwin is ready to take a leave of absence from “30 Rock” to tackle some aliens in Men in Black 3. According to Pajiba, Baldwin, Sharlto Copley, Gemma Arterton and Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Sherzinger have all been cast in the upcoming sequel. The movie will once again feature Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the leads and a few other notable faces. Find out more below…
I love it when an action film comes together! Despite the fact that this movie continually reminded me of Team America, it’s a solid piece of entertainment. With all the explosions, flying tanks, witty lines and references you’re hoping for, it’s pure cheesy fun. Out of all the action movies that we’ve had this summer, this is the first that is pure entertainment from start to finish (don’t shove Iron Man 2 in my face, it’s a different type of film).

Last week, we sat down to a press conference with the director of The A-Team Joe Carnahan along with cast members, Liam Neeson (Hannibal), Bradley Cooper (Face), Sharlto Copley (Murdock) and Jessica Biel (Sosa) to talk about how the plan came together (so cheap – I know). I should mention that Rampage Jackson, the man who plays B.A. Baracus was also in attendance, but he didn’t really say much — in many ways his large sunglasses and physique said all it needed to.
Joe was extremely forthright and one of the first things he said was that the reason he made the movie was for money, the gang talks male bonding and why they all love their character and more below…
We’ve all heard about actors being committed to their roles in films, but rarely do we hear about an actor being so devoted to a character that as a young boy he actually fought in a gang to protect his right to dress up as a member of the A-Team. At a recent press conference for the movie Sharlto Copley, one of the co-stars of the A-Team who plays Murdock, told a story about when he was a young boy in Johannesburg, South Africa how he quite literally challenged another A-Team “gang” to a “war” for the right to dress up and pretend they were The A-Team. Now that’s dedication!
At the time Copley always wanted to be Hannibal, but was more then happy to accept the role as Murdoch in the re-imaging of his favorite film when director Joe Carnahan offered him the role.

Twentieth Century Fox has just released the first clip from their big screen adaptation of The A-Team and it’s ridiculous. We haven’t seen this much over the top action since the original TV show, which means director Joe Carnahan did his job. The clip includes Faceman (Bradley Cooper), B.A. Baracus (Rampage Jackson), and Murdock (Sharlto Copley) trying to survive while being shot at in a tank, that happens to be hovering in mid-air! Sharlto Copley and Timothy Olyphant are both awesome actors but their styles are totally different and they look absolutely nothing alike! The people behind DreamWorks’ upcoming sci-fi feature, I Am Number Four must see something we don’t because Olyphant has just been hired as Copley’s replacement in the film.
