As we reported back in February, a television show prequel to Sex in the City was rumored to be in development. And now, after forever scarring pop culture with the hideousness that was Sex and the City 2, the NYC gals characterized in the show are returning—for a show set in high school on the CW. God help us all. At least it doesn’t feature vampires.
After Sex and the City 2, we unanimously decided that the franchise had run its course. The movie wasn’t a worthy follow up to the first one or the TV series, so a lot of us cut our losses and moved on. Unfortunately, everyone doesn’t feel that way, and they want to continue beating this dead horse. According to an Australian entertainment site called Grazia, a Sex and the City PREQUEL may be in the works.
Ladies, retire your Cosmopolitans and put the stilettos back in the closet because Sex And The City 2 marks the end of an era. Sadly, HBO’s favorite foursome don’t go out with a bang. Other than their fabulous array of designer clothing, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon do little to keep the audience aroused.

This weekend Sex and the City 2 will hit theaters going toe to toe with Disney’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Unlike the latter SATC, will debut on Thursday, May 27th as opposed to Friday, which will give it a one day advantage over the competition. Holy middle age women Batman, the first theatrical trailer for Sex and the City 2 has been released! After a long and drawn out two year hiatus those New York fashionistas are ready take the city by storm…again. With the return of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda comes more problems, more men, and of course more shopping because apparently they’re the only people in the country who weren’t hit by the recession.
