As promised, the first trailer for Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet has finally arrived! It was originally scheduled to premiere on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” but I guess Yahoo Movies said screw that and decided to debut it instead. Entertainment Tonight has released a sneak peek at the teaser trailer for Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet. It was previously announced that Columbia Pictures would release the first teaser trailer for Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet during an episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on June 21st. The cast for DreamWorks’ sequel Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom continues to grow as three new actors have joined film. This past weekend we learned that Gary Oldman signed on to play Lord Shen (a peacock), and today it’s been announced that Michelle Yeoh, Victor Garber, and Jean Claude-Van Damme will join him!
Summit Entertainment continues to branch out into other genre’s of film by acquiring the Seth Rogen produced comedy, formally titled, I’m With Cancer. The film stars James McAvoy as the lead with Rogen on board in a supporting role. They’ll be joined by two actresses from the Twilight camp (conveniently) Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Finally a clear photo of Seth Rogen in character from The Green Hornet has popped up online. We’ve already seen the actor in costume as his alter ego Britt Reid, but we’ve been yearning for something more. Over at SplashNews, they’ve posted a couple of behind the scenes photos that feature both Rogen and Jay Chou as his sidekick, Kato.

DVD Releases are very comedy heavy this week as Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Observe and Report bring the late-spring funny to DVD store shelves.
Also, as TV Season gets underway, it’s one of the last chances to catch up with last season as several shows release last year’s seasons on DVD including huge hits “30 Rock” and “The Mentalist.” And, as always, the three worst DVDs of the week.

These past few weeks, production on the Michel Gondry big screen adaptation of Green Hornet seemed to be moving along smoothly. That was before it hit another major casting snag, which centered on the film’s supposed villain Nicolas Cage. Cage had been rumored for several months to be in negotiations to star as the bad guy opposite Seth Rogen‘s heroic Britt Reid. It turns out that the creative forces behind the film and the actor couldn’t come to terms on how his character should be portrayed.

For months the actor has been attached to star as the film’s villain opposite Seth Rogen, but according to THR, things have gone south. Cage has officially dropped out of the movie.
