The first time I saw Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was at Comic-Con, jam packed in a theater, from a balcony, in a room filled with so many fans it was hard to hear some of the dialogue because of all the laughter and cheers bouncing off the walls. At the press screening for the film in LA, I was reminded of how dull critics can be and how they can dampen the experience of watching a film like this. Though I am reviewing this film and technically a part of said “dull critics” and I did in fact love this film, it was obviously not made for me – it was made for the fans of the comic-book, fans of video games, fans of action, fans of humor, when you get down to it fans of movies in general. The amount of references in this film will blow your mind.
This is a great film and its goal is to entertain and it succeeds admirably — just don’t let the those “scared to laugh” critics get you down, have some fun and find out more about what makes this film great below…

This weekend Scott Pilgrim vs the World will debut in theaters with a lot of razzle, dazzle, and a whole lot of ass-kicking. Most of the violence will be directed towards Michael Cera, who takes on his fair share of men and women to win the love of Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Ramona Flowers. Over at MTV, they’ve debuted a clip of Mae Whitman giving Cera a stern talking to before opening a serious can of whoop-ass. Take a look…

It’s finally time for Edgar Wright‘s upcoming extraordinary comic-book adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World to hit theaters this weekend! Not long ago we sat down to a roundtable with Wright to talk about how he managed to talk all the many parts that make Scott Pilgrim so phenomenal and put them together in such a unique, and yet easy and fun to watch film (we already published our Ant-Man news if you’re looking for that).
Find out everything from casting to why he never sits down on set despite the long, hard shoots in our interview with him below…

I think Michael Cera described this film perfectly during our interview when he said it’s “Like taking a people bath. Taking a youcuzi.” I still don’t know what that means exactly, but I like it! Both Cera and Jason Schwartzman, despite the fact that they had just got back from Comic-Con and had already done about 5 hours of press for their upcoming release Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, were in great spirits during the interview and at times seemed more interested in entertaining the group of journalist than answering questions (I am the one who in fact had to tell Cera “No!” at one point).
Check our interview with Cera and Schwartzman for their upcoming film Scott Pilgrim below and after check out our 1-1 with Anna Kendrick who plays Scott’s sister and the director of the film Edgar Wright…

This week, Edgar Wright‘s extraordinary comic-book adaptation, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World will finally be in theaters. The film stars Michael Cera (check out our interview with him as well!) and has an extraordinary supporting cast which includes the Academy Award nominated actress, who broke out last year and keeps coming back with more, Anna Kendrick. I had the chance to speak with Anna over the phone about working with Wright on making this film.
Find out what it was like working with Wright, why Keiran Culkin is an asshole “in the best way” and more below…

Scott Pilgrim vs the World has a new trailer out but it’s old in every sense of the word. Just like the movie it takes notes from vintage video games like Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. It may look like it’s from the 1980s but it’s not, it’s interactive! You can learn stuff about the film, the characters, the director, anybody or anything at the click of a button. Get ready to delve into the world of Pilgrim…
