Between the megahype concerning The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, and Prometheus, you may have forgotten that a certain wall-crawler is getting a reboot this summer.  As such, Sony is planning on releasing a new trailer today for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man reboot just to remind fans that it exists.  And as we count down to the new trailer’s premiere, Sony has offered up the first official pictures of the film’s villain, The Lizard.

Director Marc Webb has recast Peter Parker with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, with Rhys Ifans as the villainous Lizard. Though surely men have described Megan Fox as heavenly before, it seems that the film Passion Play is making that literal. In the trailer for her new film, Fox has wings and everything. We called this as soon as the information was released. On Tuesday, Sony announced that British actor Rhys Ifans had been cast as the villain in their reboot of Spider-Man. At the time, they refused to reveal the identity of the character he would play.
