According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, the actress is in negotiations with Fox 2000 to star in a biopic based on the life and career of singer/actress Peggy Lee. The last time we saw Witherspoon star in a period piece where she got to flex her vocals it was in 2005 for Walk the Line, and she walked home with an Academy Award.
