The long running drama “Grey’s Anatomy” will return for more next year as well as its spin-off “Private Practice.” Despite what some people might think about “Grey’s” current storylines, it still pulls in solid ratings for the network, so this decision shouldn’t come as a shock.

There’s only one big time feature film release on DVD this week, but it’s a big one. At least it seems like a big one. It shoulda been a big one. It wanted to be a big one. But, in the end, not quite a big one. The one we’re talking about? Robin Hood. Yes, the movie you first started seeing trailers for during the end of last football season is finally available as a distraction from this football season. If you care.

George Clooney was on hand at Sunday night’s Primetime Emmy Awards to accept a huge honor. He was the recipient of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award that recognizes actors who go out on a limb to help those in need. Even though his presence was for a serious cause, he still managed to have a little fun. He appeared in a skit with the cast of ABC’s “Modern Family” where he literally charmed the pants off everybody on the show — everybody! Watch the video below…

ABC has just stepped it up a notch in my book by renewing two of the best new shows on television. According to Variety, next year the network will bring back their Wednesday night comedy block, which includes “Modern Family,” “Cougar Town,” and “The Middle.” Sorry for fans of the failed Kelsey Grammer series “Hank,” you’re not invited to this party.
