Wiig has built a serious presence in films over the past few years, and 2011 will be her time to shine as she joins forces with Maya Rudolph and Rose Byrne for a wedding-centric comedy called Bridesmaids. The new season of “Saturday Night Live” kicked off with former castmember Amy Poehler as the host and Katy Perry as the musical guest. The singer appeared in multiple skits during the show including the infamous “Bronx Beat,” which reunited Poehler and Maya Rudolph. This was the perfect opportunity for Perry (and her people) to address the recent drama surrounding her and “Sesame Street“.
The singer has beef with Elmo! She taped a segment for the show only to learn that it wouldn’t air on the popular children’s series because she was showing too much cleavage. Therefore, she appeared on SNL with her breasts on full display, while damn near busting out of an Elmo top. Subtlety wasn’t the objective here. Check out the clip below…

Why you should see Away We Go:
- Sam Mendes directed it and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get nominated for some awards.
- Both Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski are brilliant in the film and unlike you’ve ever seen them before.
- It’s completely honest and yet hilarious in unsuspecting ways.
- It’s a great date movie if you’re trying to get a girl to think you’re deeper than you are.
- If you’re already deep, that it’s inspiring and throught-provoking
Why you should not to see this film:
- Because you just LOVED Wolverine and have to see it for the 19th time.

Maya Rudolph is the shining star in Away We Go. Although she and John Krasinski were beautiful together and the supporting cast was amazing, no one was as subtle, strong, and engaging as Maya in the role of Verona in Sam Mendes new film.
Many of us are used to Maya’s deadly humor from SNL, but in Away We Go, she leaves the jokes to those around her and emerges as one of the most charming and endearing dramatic actresses that we’ve seen on screen in a long time.
Although, during the interview, she definitely wasn’t afraid to joke around and it’s clear that she is not only dangerously funny, but extremely intelligent. Check out what she had to say below…
