Over the past week, several hilarious news pieces have surfaced online and we’re not just talking about Tom Cruise and his booty dance with JLo (although we’ve covered that thoroughly). We’re referring to the recent developments surrounding the old TV series Voltron, the questionable divinity of Betty White, and the cult world’s fascination with Ray Liotta. It’s all here…

Tom Cruise was working overtime at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards because his ass was everywhere! He did double duty as himself and his alter ego Les Grossman who supposedly “produced” last night’s ceremony. The actor opened the show with a pre-taped skit and then half way through appeared on stage to do a dance routine with Jennifer Lopez in full costume. Take a look…

Last night’s winners at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards were almost an exact replica of the previous year. As long as Twilight continues to release films in their “Saga,” it looks like they’re going to dominate this particular awards show. The sequel New Moon was named Best Movie, and got three trophies for Robert Pattinson and two for Kristen Stewart including Best Male and Female Performance, Best Kiss, and Global Superstar. Other wins came from The Hangover and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Check out the rest of the winners below…

It’s no secret that the MTV Movie Awards are about recognizing the biggest popcorn movies of the year, hence their trophy being a golden bucket. The 2010 nominees have been announced and the Todd Phillips comedy The Hangover is leading the pack with 6 nominations followed by the Twilight sequel New Moon (no surprise there) with 5 nods, and Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince with 4. Check out the rest of the competition below…

Over the past few weeks MTV has been airing multiple promos for their annual MTV Movie Awards and their latest video has us on edge. It’s a parody of the Oscar winning film The Hurt Locker that features this year’s host Aziz Ansari and actress Kristen Bell. The two are shown celebrating a night at home when Ansari makes a strange and alarming personal request. Take a look…

Last night during the MTV Movie Awards Twilight’s New Moon wasn’t the only film getting it’s time to shine. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay and actress Megan Fox took the stage to introduce an exclusive clip from the film to the audience in attendance and at home. It features Sam (Shia Labeouf) and Mikaela (Fox) trying to escape from a group of angry Decepticons in what looks like the Egyptian desert.
Check out the clip after the jump.

For all of you Twilight fans it’s finally here. MTV premiered the first teaser trailer for the next installment of the vampire saga, New Moon. It features fan favorites Edward, Bella, and Jacob doing what they do best. They’re young, they’re good looking, and they’re messed up! The clip is about one minute and forty eight seconds, so hopefully that will be enough to hold you over until the full theatrical trailer is released. New Moon hits theaters this fall on November 20, and is directed by Chris Weitz.

MTV Movie Awards 2009 are here! It’s that time of year again, when all the beautiful people come out to Los Angeles to see who is going to be made fun of this time around. Although the weirdest part about this show for me is still the nominees. How is The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Slumdog Millionaire, and Twilight still up for an award? We have so many new films to argue about now!
Hosting an awards show takes a lot of guts. You are going to make a lot of people (a.k.a celebrities present at the awards show and sitting ten feet away from you) angry, and the angrier you make them the better you do. And to their credit, MTV does this best (although I can’t stand them).
So who gets the honors of entertaining, entertainments biggest stars this year? The honor goes to none other than former writer for the awards show and new Saturday Night Live cast member Andy Samberg. The I Love You, Man and “Dick in a Box” (watch video now) star promises that the show will deliver.
