As we all know the Twilight Movie Awards… Oops… sorry… The MTV Movie Awards are all about promotion, promotion, promotion! And we love it because we get to see a ton of new clips from many of the most anticipated films of the summer. Aside from the other clips we posted from Eclipse (it is an award ceremony for them after all), Lucas’ Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and an awesome Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sneak peek, they also released a kick-ass, action-packed, Roland Emmerich-style wave crashing clip of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender.
There is no way that I could be more skeptical about an M. Night film, BUT even I have to admit that this latest clip and the recent international trailer look pretty awesome. Check it out below…

Over the holiday weekend Paramount decided to release a new trailer for The Last Airbender. It’s an international version with Japanese subtitles, and features a few quick shots of unseen footage. This version actually looks a lot better than the domestic trailer that came out a couple of months ago. Take a look and tell us what you think…

Apple has debuted a new trailer for the upcoming 3D release of The Last Airbender and it shows more footage and more characters than what we’ve seen in the previous ones. This trailer focuses on the four nations and their bending powers and you get a good idea of how M. Night Shyamalan will illustrate them on the big screen. Check it out…

The Last Airbender was a popular Nickelodeon television series that gained a huge following because of its story and its characters. When people heard that a live action movie was being made by director M. Night Shyamalan there was a mixed reaction, not only because of his hit and miss filmmaking history, but because of his casting choices. The director finally decided to shed some serious light on the white elephant in the room regarding The Last Airbender and race…

Chris Messina has been cast in the lead role of the Dowdle Brothers’ horror-thriller film Devil. Written by 30 Days of Night writer Brian Nelson, Devil is the first film in the Night Chronicles series, a trio of thrillers in which M. Who is excited to see the full length trailer for M Night. Shyamalan’s adaptation of The Last Airbender? Anyone? Someone must be. I still have flashbacks of The Lady in the Water and The Happening. They were traumatizing but I’m trying to put them behind me.
For all my rude comments about his films, the first teaser trailer did look interesting, but then again, we all know that Shyamalan can set up a good shot, it’s that whole plot thing that gets in his way.
So when will we be seeing more of his latest film so that we can judge him further?

M. Night Shyamalan‘s The Last Airbender has plenty of hype surrounding it due to it’s die hard Nickelodeon fan base, and the newbies who’ve just discovered the trailer. Either way the director and producers know that something amazing can be done with this story, so it’s no surprise that Shyamalan intends on turning The Last Airbender into a trilogy. Many reports suggested that after it’s 2010 debut, the next two installments would be filmed back to back, but according to Starlog that’s not the case.

This is one of those love it or hate it ideas, no middle ground here: M. Night Shyamalan is thinking about a sequel to Unbreakable.
Speaking with MTV at a recent press gathering, the director said he’s still considering doing the follow-up to the 2000 film starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

M. Night Shyamalan is set to direct the adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender; an anime-inspired cartoon series turned to live action film. But, it appears the fans are in a dramatic uproar.
Early this month on /Film they posted, first look photos of the Airbender cast. Not many were happy when they saw the photos of an all white cast. Jesse McCartney is supposedly in the works to play the character, Zuko, a Firebender and Nicola Peltz has been cast as Sokka’s fourteen-year-old sister Katara. An overwhelming percent of people are saying that Shyamalan is “white-washing” of their favorite series. Tom Sawyer must have thought it needed a fresh coat.
