Post-Twilight: New Moon, Taylor Lautner became viable as a leading man. He was mentioned for everything, he was the default setting for casting “wants.” Well, the John Singleton film Abduction is going to be his make or break outside of the Twilight franchise. We’ve been hearing about Bryan Singer’s latest film Jack the Giant Killer for a while now, but there’s still no actor attached to play the lead. There have been plenty of rumors as to who the director would hire including I Am Number Four star Alex Pettyfer, but that connection was disregarded as a rumor. Over at THR, they seem to have some solid casting news that lists two of the U.K.’s biggest up and comers as front runners for the role: Nicholas Hoult and Aaron Johnson.

In 2006 Michael Lewis released a book entitled, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game that told the tough story of professional football player Michael Oher and his journey to the NFL. The book was adapted into a feature, and centers on a young and homeless Oher (Quinton Aaron) who is taken in by the affluent Tuohy family in Memphis, Tennessee. He isn’t so much a delinquent as he is misguided, and the film highlights how they gave him the direction to reach his full potential in sports and in life.

True Blood star Stephen Moyer just got hired for a feature film gig. According to Empire the British actor has joined the cast of Scott Stewart’s, upcoming film Priest, which is a live action adaptation of the novel with the same name. The current cast already includes Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, and Karl Urban.
