This week’s episode of “Law and Order: Los Angeles” was entitled “Echo Park” and centered on the murder of a former cult member. That sounds like a premise worth following but it proved to be boring and uninspired. We also get the introduction of the second Deputy A.D.A. Terrence Howard and Detective Ryan’s wife played by Meet the Parents star Teri Polo. Unfortunately, neither of these film stars were enough to make this episode entertaining.

Out with the old and in with the new. “Law & Order: Los Angeles” had a strong premiere that was set in the city’s most famous locale — Hollywood. Led by Skeet Ulrich and Alfred Molina, “LOLA” quickly distinguished itself from its predecessors by amping up the pop culture references and incorporating elements that can only be found in Southern California. The casting director for “Law & Order: Los Angeles” has been working hard to fill out the roster for the newest NBC spin-off. The show began production on August 2nd and several key roles have been occupied by a few familiar faces. We previously announced that the series’ cast included Skeet Ulrich, Alfred Molina, Terrence Howard, and Corey Stoll now three new actors have come on board — and they’re all women!

The cast for NBC’s “Law and Order: Los Angeles” continues to grow with its latest addition. Just yesterday we revealed that Alfred Molina and Corey Stoll had been cast as a prosecutor and detective, and now Terrence Howard is about to get in on some of that legal action. According to Variety, the Oscar nominated actor is in talks to play one of the main characters on the network’s newest spin-off.

The cast of CBS’s freshman hit “NCIS: Los Angeles” better run for the hills because NBC is setting up shop in their town. According to a report from Deadline, they’ve exclusively learned that the network plans on adding another series to their long running “Law & Order” franchise called “Law & Order: Los Angeles” because quite frankly “Special Victims Unit” and “Criminal Intent” just aren’t enough.
