What’s going on with the Scream 4 production? Last week we learned that co-star Lake Bell had dropped out of the film due to some scheduling conflict and now we’re hearing the same thing about Lauren Graham. The former “Gilmore Girls” star is said to be on the outs with the sequel thanks to another job.
Wes Craven’s upcoming sequel Scream 4 has just gained two new castmembers. One of them is a former “Gilmore Girl” and the other is a “Law & Order” alum. According to EW, Lauren Graham and Anthony Anderson have officially joined the cast that already includes Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell, Nico Tortorella, and the original trio Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette.
The coming of age dramedy, It’s Kind of a Funny story will start production early next month in New York City, and in preparation they’ve finally cast the role of its main character. The film centers on a 16 year old boy who suffers from a nervous breakdown, and eventually checks himself into a mental facility. That role has been cast along with several other supporting parts, which will include the addition of actors Keir Gilchrist, Zoe Kravitz, and Lauren Graham.
Written and directed by John Hindman, The Answer Man starring Jeff Daniels and Lauren Graham tells the tale of a reclusive best-selling author whose misanthropic tendencies all but rule his life until he meets Elizabeth, a chiropractor who straightens him out in more ways than one. Though first-time director John Hindman deserves credit for putting together a romantic comedy that is gimmick free and thought invoking, it doesn’t help that The Answer Man takes a page (or several) straight out of the magnificence that is As Good As It Gets.
There’s only one mean-spirited, off kilter and down right bigot I can handle, and that’s Melvin Udall. For all its familiarity, The Answer Man is bearable, but not bearable enough to keep me from waiting, and wishing and hoping for plot development that never came.
Flash of Genius, co-starring the lovely and witty Lauren Graham, will be released in films this weekend, Ocotber 3rd. The story is about based on the true story of, Robert Kearns (played by Greg Kinnear), a man who fought a decades long battle with the Ford Motor company over ingenuity. He gave up everything including his wife, played by Lauren Graham, and his six children in order to win his fight over principle. The story is heart breaking and yet hopeful all at the same time.
