I’m tempted to say that there are no real vampires in Vampire, Iwai Shunji’s new film, when in fact the opposite is true. There is one real vampire, but real in the sense that the main character (Kevin Zegers), a character rooted firmly in reality, does drink blood. The problem with calling someone a vampire these days is that you immediately see a sparkly Robert Pattinson flying through the trees and snarling. This film is less a vampire movie and more a “K with the H of G movie,” or killer with the heart of gold.

The Mission Impossible news just keeps on coming as a trio of actresses have auditioned to play Tom Cruise’s leading lady. According to Deadline, Paula Patton, Kristin Kreuk, and Lauren German have all tested for the part of a young female operative. Whoever lands the role will also act opposite Jeremy Renner who was cast earlier this week as Cruise’s sidekick.

Kristin Kreuk is so cute, so spunky, so dedicated, that doing this film… well I’ll save my judgment for her role in this film later. All I need to say is that she really brought something refreshing to this film. Although many people know her as the young, pretty girl from the TV show “Smallville” she is beginning to make her film breakthough and is using Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li as her bridge. Personally I can’t wait to see more of her. She’s young and really has a lot of talent that in the right hands could go far.
