He’s the cop with a huge gun and an obsession with the law who was previously played by Sylvester Stallone in the nineties movie that we’d all like to forget but can’t. After multiple delays and a 3D conversion, Screen Gems upcoming Manga adaptation Priest has made its way to San Diego Comic-Con. The film is officially scheduled to hit theaters on May 13, 2011 and reunites director Scott Stewart with his Legion star Paul Bettany. Today we took part in the official roundtable interviews for the film that not only featured Bettany and Stewart but co-stars Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and yes Cam Gigandet from Twilight.
The entire event was light and funny. Bettany was hilarious and his young son (who was in the room) came up to him in the middle of the interview and gave him a big kiss! It was very sweet. Later on Stewart was speaking and Bettany came over after he left the table and interrupted to ask the director a question. It was very loose and relaxed. Directly after the RED panel at Comic-Con the press got a chance to take part in an intimate gathering with the group where we got to pick their brains. Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, graphic novel author Warren Ellis and graphic novel artist Cully Hamner were all in attendance and eager to answer our questions about their upcoming action-comedy.

Summit Entertainment was in the house with their panel for the graphic novel adaptation of RED with comic-book artist Cully Hamner, writer-creator Warren Ellis, actors Bruce Willis, Karl Urban, Mary-Louise Parker and Oscar winner Helen Mirren. The panel was actually pretty enjoyable. Mirren was hilarious. Urban was charming as usual, and Willis was — Willis. During the panel we got to see the new theatrical trailer for the film, and watch the actors get loose while answering some questions from fans.

Over the past few months Screen Gems have released several photos from their upcoming Manga adaptation, Priest. They featured the title character played by Paul Bettany, his sidekick Cam Gigandet, the damsel in distress Lily Cole, and a kick-ass priestess played by Maggie Q.
