Never one to not nip at the heels of larger pop culture figures in order to expand her own name brand recognition, Kathy Griffin has now responded to the hyper-creepy/ sorta funny but still creepy video Jim Carrey released yesterday, in which he professed his love for actress and Emma Stone, satirized social media confessions, and still managed to come off as more than a little spooky. Griffin’s response? Make a video to Justin Bieber that essentially steals what Carrey did and adds… well, actually it doesn’t really add anything than the fact that you can actually tell Griffin is joking, along with a sheen of desperate “LOOK AT ME” on the part of Griffen.

Well, the headline says it all—teen culture, as it has pretty much always been (except for maybe when teens went gaga for the Beatles back in the day), is pretty much screwed. Basically a live action version of TigerBeat!, the 2011 Teen Choice Awards took place in L.A. last night at the Gibson Amphitheatre, in what was essentially a morbid orgy of cultural mediocrity and inexplicable celebrity worship. But Justin + Selena looked soooooooo cute together, you guyz, OMG!!!

What do you know, I Am Number Four is actually No. 2, and Mr. Liam Neeson topped the box office charts with his new (known) thriller Unknown. Both films had a strong performance during this President’s Day weekend. The sci-fi flick grossed $19.5 million, while Unknown, which also stars Diane Kruger and January Jones, grossed $21, 770,000 million — close, indeed. Also new this weekend was Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, which came did well despite coming in at No. 5, after Gnomeo and Juliet and Just Go With It.

Romance was about to just barely beat out the Bieb-ster this Grammy weekend. The Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy Just Go With It topped at the box office grossing $31 million, but Never Say Never was trailing behind and grossed $30.2 million. Following the top two where also two more newcomers, Gnomeo and Juliet and The Eagle.
