This week has offered a flurry of news on J.J. Abrams‘s Star Trek reboot sequel – tentatively titled Star Trek 2 – which is scheduled for release May 17, 2013. Though we’ve yet to see a replacement for the main villain since Benecio Del Toro dropped out on Monday, there are more things to relay about the cast and the villain.
Though the premise of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was paper-thin, it’s been impressive watching Kal Penn and John Cho stretch stoner jokes into a trilogy. It helped that they continued to feature Neil Patrick Harris, who plays a sex crazed, drug addled womanizer. And for the third film – A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas – they enter the fantasyland of Holiday specials, it seems, as the trailer starts with the duo accidentally shooting Santa Claus. It looks like actor turned White House aid Kal Penn will be taking a break from his political duties to reprise his role alongside John Cho as a hungry pothead in another Harold & Kumar sequel. According to Deadline, New Line Cinema has set a production start date on the latest film in the series entitled, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.
Here it is! The last part of the three part Star Trek press conference interviews with Chris Pine (James T. Kirk), Eric Bana (Nero), John Cho (Hikaru Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Pavel Chekov), and Clifton Collins (Ayel).
Some of the highlights: What it’s like making out with a green girl, what happens when you really punch a stuntman, who had the hardest role in the film, and what it’s like becoming a Star Trek character.

Over the weekend the new Star Trek trailer was released before Quantum of Solace and we posted a fairly crappy, boot-legged version of the film. Well now you don’t have to settle for less.
Looks like this one is sexier, more dramatic, and has MUCH bigger explosions.
