Community's season finale tried to recreate a time gone by. With Jeff on the verge of graduating, the writers decided to bring back the darkest timeline, but their hearts just weren't in it. Don't get us wrong, "Advanced Introduction To Finality" had its moments, but compared to previous finales, it doesn't make the cut.
Community's "Intro To Felt Surrogacy" can be summed up in two words: too cute. This episode was, more or less, an homage to The Muppet Show. There was singing, a balloon adventure, a Jason Alexander cameo and psychotropic berries.
Last night's Community was devoted to a disease called Changnesia, which is exactly what it sounds like. As you may have gathered from previous episodes, Chang's returned to Greendale as an amnesiac. In "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking," Abed puts on his filmmaker hat and documents the different reactions the study group has to this sketchy illness.
Thanksgiving comes with a lot of strings attached. Sure there's tons of delicious food, but you have to put up crazy family members, innapropriate jokes and awkward reunions. That was the case on last night's Community. "Cooperative Escapism in Familial Relations" focused on the difficult task of drunk uncles and estranged fathers.
Community, there might be hope for you yet. Last night's "Alternative History of the German Invasion" gave us the wit and humor of the Dan Harmon-era. The Germans from "Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism" return to torment the study group to teach us a lesson on who's really the bad guys of the show.
